Wilma J. Curran

Wilma Jean (Bein) Curran, 85, died on November 6, 2018. Daughter of the late Gustave and Mabel Bein and preceded in death by her husband of 31 years Jack Curran, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. She leaves her brother, Kenneth “Butch” Bein of Westfield; her children, Michael Curran & Laurel, Westfield; Mary Scott & husband Duane, Southwick; Tricia Curran, Holyoke; Gus & husband Patrick Stawski, Durham, NC, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Wilma loved spending time with her friends, in-laws, nieces, and nephews, many of whom loved her as a mother. She will be missed by her bingo family. She attended Our Lady of the Lake church and loved to sing along to the hymns. A member of AA, she achieved lifelong sobriety and helped many others get sober. She had several jobs but perhaps found her role as a receptionist at Quarry Hill Recovery Center the most rewarding. We’re sure Wilma was grateful to Mary for caring for her in her final days at home with the help of O'Connell's CAH and Baystate Hospice. A special thanks to Alex Fiorentino. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10th from 1-4pm at Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Hwy., Southwick with a celebration of Wilma’s life at 4:00 PM.
