Rylee Elizabeth Jewell

Rylee Elizabeth Jewell, 14, of Longmeadow, while showing her unbelievable strength and unbreakable love passed surrounded by her family on June 4th. She was born June 21st, 2006 to Richard and Jennifer Jewell. Her family will never forget her smile that would light up the room, the strength she would always show in the midst of anything she faced. And will forever be known as the best sister a brother could have and the lessons she taught everyone.

In addition to her parents, she will forever be loved and missed by her brother Ryan, and her grandparents Barbara and Peter Janeski and Barbara Jewell. She also will be missed by her godparents Candace Cybert and Thomas Brassil; her aunts and uncles Sabrina Brassil, Maureen Jewell, Wayne and Lori Jewell, Jay and Doreen Jewell, Julie Abbruzzese, and James Janeski. She also leaves many loving cousins and great aunts and uncles. 

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rylee’s life at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home at 220 North Main St, East Longmeadow on Wednesday June 9th from 9-11 with a period of visitation. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow beginning at 12 noon at St. Mary’s in Longmeadow. She will then be laid to rest at Longmeadow Cemetery.

Rylee’s family wishes to thank the many doctors, nurses, and medical staff who provided her such compassionate and dedicated care throughout her life. They would especially like to thank her nurses Patricia Gerani and Nancy Paulides as well as Dr. Paul Salva, and Dr. Leif Nordstrom; as well as Dr. Mustafa Caylon and Megan Mayo, RN at Baystate Palliative Care.
