Rosa Daniele

Rosa Daniele, 87, of East Longmeadow passed away at her home surrounded by her devoted family on Saturday June 5, 2021. She was born in Bracigliano, Italy on April 26, 1934, to the late Pietro and Emilia (Leone) Stellato. She was a dedicated homemaker, raising her family with her beloved husband Amato. Her family will miss her wonderful cooking, especially her special Sunday dinners along with her famous homemade bread. She also enjoyed gardening, spending quality time with her 3 treasured grandchildren, and shopping with her dear sister in laws. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Mario, Amedeo, Umberto, and Claudio Stellato, as well as her sister Carmela Stellato. She will be forever missed by her husband Amato, her son Frank and his wife Peggy, her daughter Geraldine and her husband Luis both of East Longmeadow. She also leaves her grandchildren Amanda, Samantha, and Isabella as well as her many nieces, nephews, and dearest friend Teresa Lafratta. She will also be missed by her brother Gennaro Stellato of Agawam, dear sisters in law Josephine, Natalina, Anna, Rosa (Stellato) and Rosa Scala. As well as brother and sisters in law in Bracigliano, Italy, Ernesto, and his wife Immacolata, Francesco and his wife Giovanna, Maria and husband Mario, Anna and Gerardo and sister-in-law Vincenza (Stellato). She was predeceased by her brothers in law Mario, and Antonio and sisters-in-law Assunta and Giuseppina. Family and friends are invited to the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home (East Longmeadow) from 2-5pm on Sunday June 13th for a period of visitation. Her funeral will begin at 7:45 at the funeral home on Monday June 14th. A funeral liturgy will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel 123 William St Springfield, MA beginning at 9am. She will then be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery 421 Tinkham Road Springfield.
