Somers, Connecticut - It is with great sadness that the family of Robert “Bobby” J. Nichols, Jr. announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, January 15th, at the age of 57 years old. Bobby was predeceased by his father Robert J. Nichols Sr. and is lovingly missed by his mother, Shirley; his sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Jack, and his niece and nephew, Cait and Ryan. Bob was born in Springfield, MA. He enjoyed the outdoors and time in his garden. Calling hours will be held from 4:00PM – 7:00PM on Friday (January 18, 2019) at Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow. Funeral services will begin at 8:45 AM on Saturday (January 19, 2019) at the funeral home. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker St., Springfield and Rites of Committal will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Road, Springfield.
