Robert Stanley Brock, 88, a resident of Agawam for the past 52 years, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. Mr. Brock was born in Springfield, MA on December 21, 1930 and was the oldest of four children born to Stanley L. and Ethel (nee Reedy) Brock. He graduated from Technical High School in 1948 and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955. He earned a B.S. in Engineering Management from Western New England College in 1963 and was employed at the Hamilton Standard division of United Technologies for 31 years until his retirement in 1987. After he retired, Mr. Brock worked as a consultant at Hamilton Standard for several years. Mr. Brock married Rosemary (nee Moylan) Brock on September 10, 1955 and they were together for nearly 57 years until her death in 2012. He enjoyed bowling, golf, baseball, playing cards with friends, spending time on Cape Cod with his family, and watching his two favorite teams: the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He leaves his three children, Laurie A. Brock of Buffalo, NY; Robert Steven Brock and his wife Mary of West Hartford, CT; and Kimberley O’Keefe and her husband Kevin of Agawam. He also leaves six grandchildren: Adam Lehrer, Evan Lehrer, Meghan Lehrer, Erin Brock, Owen Brock, and Dennis Brock; and two great-grandchildren Alice Lehrer and Ana Charlie Lehrer. He also leaves his brother, Richard L. Brock of Agawam, his sister, Dorothy Salter of Bow, N.H., and many nieces and nephews. His sister, Marilyn (nee Brock) England predeceased him. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 5-8PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main Street, Agawam. A graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam on Friday, September 20th at 11:00AM with the procession departing the funeral home at 10:30AM.
