May R. Siciliano

Springfield- May R. Siciliano, 106, died peacefully on September 8, 2019. She was born on March 15, 1913 in Springfield MA to the late Carl and Anna (Ucella) Siciliano. May was a lifelong resident of Springfield and graduated the High School of Commerce. May worked as a secretary at Westinghouse Company of Springfield for 19 years and Western Mass Electric of West Springfield for 18 years. She was a charter member of the former Springfield Guild of Craftsman for over 50 years and taught creative metal craft for 5 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, a choir member for over 65 years and a member of the woman’s guild since 1960. In addition to her parents, May was predeceased by her brother Peter D. Siciliano and her sister Theresa S. Siciliano. She will be deeply missed by her niece Ann Marie Mango and her husband Thomas of Wilbraham, her nephew Peter Siciliano and his wife Bonnie of Coeyman’s Hollow NY, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Life Care of Wilbraham for their care and compassion that they gave to Auntie May. Visitation will be held Friday September 13, 2019 from 8:30am to 9:00am in the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow. A funeral Service will follow at 9:00am, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 123 Williams Street, Springfield. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield.
