Marianne Shenefield

Marianne (Cascio) Shenefield passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 13, 2019 with her caring family by her side. Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Fiore) and Thomas Cascio, Sr. She was a Radiology Technician at Mercy Hospital for several years and then worked at her family’s business Cascio Nursery. She had a love for animals, especially her cat Simba. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, and cherished Sunday dinners and holiday gatherings with family. Marianne had many friends all over the country that were like her family. Her great sense of humor and feisty personality will truly be missed.
Marianne leaves her loving family to cherish her memory: her daughter Christina Ross of Agawam; her granddaughter and devoted caregiver Erin Shenefield and her boyfriend Stephen Visconti of Agawam; her brother Tom Cascio, Jr. (Anne) of Feeding Hills; her nieces and nephews: Tom Cascio III, Kimberly Pilon, Jennifer Metz, Dede Yasgar and Scott Moore; many great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Services will begin on Thursday, October 17, 2019 with visiting hours from 3:00-6:00pm with a celebration of life ceremony at 6:00pm at Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation on 985 Main Street in Agawam. Her burial will be private in Agawam Center Cemetery.
