Lucile Therese Lessard

Longmeadow – Lucile Therese (Cote) Lessard, 85, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, died on March 10, 2019 at her home in Glenmeadow. She was born in Laconia, NH to the late Rock and Beatrice (Lesieur) Cote on May 12, 1933. She graduated from high school and went on to further her education earning her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Lucile was a fun adventurous person who loved to travel and was always up for a new adventure. She was a wonderful, loving mother who enjoyed family times in Otis with the cottage full of children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed for her welcoming personality and her kind and spirited ways. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, Rudolph Lessard; her son Mark Lessard; and her brother, Fr. Gerald Cote. She leaves her 6 sons, David and his wife Wendy of Otis, James and his fiancé Donna Colbert of Palmer, Timothy and his former wife Maureen of Springfield, Barry and his wife Mikki of Monson, Paul “Skip” and his wife Lynn of Springfield, and Thomas and his wife Jamie of Huntington; her daughter-in-law, Sandy Lessard of Springfield; 19 grandchildren; 7 great-grand children; and her brother, Donald Cote and his wife Francine of Rochester, NH. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, March 13th from 4-7PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. Lucile’s funeral will be held on Thursday, March 13th from the funeral home at 8:45AM followed by a procession to Holy Name Church, Springfield for a Funeral Mass at 10AM.
