Judith Anne Kortabani

Agawam – Judith A. Kortabani, 73 passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 after a courageous battle of lung cancer. She was born in Springfield and was a daughter of Franklin and Zelda (Hubert) Downey. Judi was a financial advisor for many years, most recently with Morgan Stanley in Springfield. She appreciated life, was an amazing pitch player, enjoyed the beach, music and played the piano. Her firecracker personality will be remembered, as well as her fantastic cooking and fun dinners with friends. She is survived by her children: Vincent Kortabani and his wife Christine of Pompano, FL, her daughters Vicki Bussolari of Feeding Hills and Toni J. Kortabani of Agawam; her sister Jan Flynn and her husband Timothy of Enfield CT; five grandchildren: Carianne Leahy and her husband Matt, Carly Bussolari, Christopher Bussolari, Mikael Sayid Elias, and Jimmy Halas; two great-granchildren: Parker and Ryan Leahy. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A special thank you to Jessica with Western Mass Hospice.
A celebration of Judi’s life will begin with visiting hours on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 2:00-5:00pm at Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation on 985 Main Street in Agawam. Her funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 beginning at 8:45am at the funeral home, with a mass in Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills at 10:00am; and burial will follow in Springfield Street Cemetery in Feeding Hills.
