Jean Carol Boucher

Jean Carol Boucher, 84, of Springfield, MA passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 5, 2020.

She was born in Springfield MA, daughter of the late Albert L. Bellorini and Alice Suprenant.

Jean graduated from Technical High School and worked many years at Mass Mutual, finishing her career at The Hartford.

Jean was fiercely independent and extremely crafty. In her free time, her love of painting and knitting led to many local craft fairs; most recently under the guise of “Mom’s Mittens.” She had a love for all animals, Elvis, classic movies, and anything sweet. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, solving crossword puzzles and outings with her friends at the Red Rose. Jean loved her family and the holidays which brought many happy memories.

Jean is survived by her three children: Judi and her husband Brian McLean of Clinton, CT; Jeri Boucher of Old Lyme, CT; and James and his wife Christina Boucher of Palmer, MA. She was a loving grandma to Lauren, Dillon, Sean, Collin, Mackenzie, Maegan, Renee and great grandchildren Luca and Everly. She is also survived by her brother Albert Bellorini (Helen) of Ludlow, MA and sister Beverly Andersen of Durham CT; along with many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the wonderful staff at the East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center and Baystate Hospice (Erin) who provided care to Mom over the last year.

Jean will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield MA.  A memorial will not be held at this time due to the current pandemic. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Second Chance Community Hospital, 67 Mulberry Street Springfield MA 01105 or to Baystate VNA & Hospice, 50 Maple Street, Springfield, MA 01102.
