Obituary

Hampden- Darlene A. Welliver sadly passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She grew up in Trafford, PA, graduated from Trafford High School, and continued her education at Robert Morris Business School in Pittsburgh PA. She was a bank teller and because of her dedicated work ethic she was promoted to Administrative Technician for the FDIC. Darlene enjoyed being a mother and spending time with family. Traveling was something she looked forward to, especially their family trip on an Alaskan Ship Cruise, and spending time at the lake house in North Brookfield She was a wonderful cook and gardener. She is survived by her loving husband, William Welliver, their children: Christopher Welliver of Douglas MA, Melissa McElreath and her husband John of Linwood MA, and Tracy Cerasuolo and her husband Michael of Hampden MA; five grandchildren: Patrick Welliver, Michael and Nina McElreath, and Kaelin and Jayme Cerasuolo; and her brother Tom Varuolo, she was predeceased by her brother Michael. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday March 3rd from 12:30-1:30pm at the Forastiere Smith Funeral and Cremation on 220 North Main St in East Longmeadow, with a service at the funeral home beginning at 1:30pm. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Masks and social distancing are required. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
