Bessie Kirkitelos

SPRINGFIELD - Bessie Kirkitelos, 87, formerly of Alvin Street, died
January 15, 2020. Born and educated in Springfield, Bessie was the daughter of the late Apostolos and Anna (Malamaglou) Kirkitelos; and was a lifelong resident. She retired from Land Court at the Registry of Deeds for the City of Springfield. Bessie was a long time member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She enjoyed international travel, friends and family and loved spending time at her home in Cape Cod. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Paul. Bessie leaves her brother, Andrew Kirkitelos and his wife Charlotte of Ludlow; niece Sandra Kirkitelos her husband Peter Boomer and their children Hadley and Nicholas; nephew Paul Kirkitelos; nephew Jeffrey Kirkitelos and his children J.P. and Corissa as well as many extended family members and friends. Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, January 29 from 3 – 7 PM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 22 St. George Road, Springfield where Bessie will lie in state from 10 – 11 AM followed by a service at 11 AM.
