Ashley M. Knight

Ashley M. Knight, 36, passed away peacefully in her sleep with her mother by her side, on April 20, 2024 at Baystate Wing Hospital. She was born in Springfield, MA on September 14, 1987.

She graduated from River Street School and spent many happy summers at Kamp for Kids. She moved into her group home and lived there until her passing with her "sisters" and caregivers that truly loved her. She attended Sunshine Village for over 10 years and looked forward to the Shriners walk every year.

Ashley enjoyed shopping, doing wordsearch puzzles and math books and going to the arcade.

To cherish her memory, she leaves her mother and step-father, Joanne and Will D’Angelo; her brothers Jonathan Knight and his wife Kelly and Philip Knight and his wife Katlyn; her nephews, Aiden, Jonathan, Landon, Emmett and Russell; her aunts Gayle Cvengros and Carolyn Barrett and her husband Jim; her uncle Ronald D'Angelo and his wife Elaine as well as numerous cousins, friends and caregivers.

Ashley was predeceased by her grandparents, Louis and Joyce D’Angelo.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 3 – 7 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11 AM at the funeral home followed by burial in Old Cemetery, Chapin Road, Hampden, MA.
