Albert S. Circosta

EAST LONGMEADOW- Albert S. Circosta, 95, passed away on June 23, 2019 at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke, surrounded by his loving family. Albert was born on June 24, 1923 in Springfield, MA to the late Ilario and Orsola (Laudati) Circosta. He was raised and educated in Springfield, and later moved to East Longmeadow where he resided for the last 70 years. Albert served proudly and honorably in the United States Army during World War II. Following his service in the armed forces, Albert was employed by the US government at the Springfield Armory and Colts Fire Arms in Quality Control. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, and most importantly loved his family. To cherish his memory, Albert leaves his wife of 73 years, Anne M. Circosta of East Longmeadow; son Albert Circosta, Jr. of Bradford, NH; two daughters Susan Mancinone and her husband Benito of Clinton, CT., and Karen Habib and her husband Karl of Ridgefield, CT; his four grandchildren Jared Circosta, Francesca Mancinone, Linnea Circosta, and Michael Habib; as well as many other cherished family and friends. Albert was predeceased by his parents, as well as his siblings James Circosta, Carmel Circosta, Frank Circosta, Imacalata Crivelli, Amelia Christopher, Florence Tiboni, and Mary Basile. The family would like to graciously thank Cindy Deschenes, the staff on 2 East, and the entire staff at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke for the wonderful care they provided to Albert during his time there. Per Albert’s request there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to join in a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Friday, June 28 at 11:30AM at St. Michael’s Parish, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield.
