Jonathan Whitty

Jonathan Whitty, 53, formerly of Granby, Connecticut, passed away at his home in Southwick, Massachusetts; on Friday (December 1, 2017).

Born in Hartford, he was a son of the late George Whitty Sr. and Carolyn (Ahearn) Whitty. He is the step son of Gloria Leduc-Whitty.  Jonathan was predeceased by a brother, Michael Whitty.  Jonathan was employed as a mail carrier, and was known for his route in the town of  Canton, Connecticut. He is survived by one sister, Nancy Amodio; 2 brothers, Mark Whitty and fiancé Laurie Mezzetti , George Whitty Jr. and his wife Judith Whitty;  one niece, Amanda Whitty; and two nephews, Teejay Whitty , Michael Amodio and his wife Megan Amodio.  Family and friends may gather from 6:00PM – 9:00PM, on Friday (December 8th, 2017) in the Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 624 College Highway (Highway 202/10), in Southwick, Massachusetts. A memorial service will take place in the funeral home at 7:30PM.
