Antoinette "Susie" Paschetto

EAST LONGMEADOW - Antoinette M. “Susie”, (Planzo) Paschetto, age 77, devoted wife of 55 years to Ronald H. Paschetto, Ascended Into the Journey of Everlasting Life on Sunday November 26, 2017. Susie was born on May 8, 1940, in Springfield, a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Aschettino) Planzo. Susie was employed as a Student Loan Representative for Western New England College, retiring after 35 years. A resident of East Longmeadow for 50 years, Susie was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church, where for 25 years she also taught C.C.D., was a member of the Parish Council, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and assisted as a Eucharistic Minister. Susie enjoyed shopping, was an incredible events planner, but most of all she enjoyed her family who will miss her terribly. In addition to her husband, Susie will be missed by her beloved three sons and daughters in law,  Michael Paschetto and Cara of Monson, James Paschetto and Cathy of South Windsor, CT, Joseph Paschetto and Michelle, of East Longmeadow; a cherished sister and brother in law, Marlene Potorski and John of East Longmeadow; five adored grandchildren, Matthew Paschetto, Shaun Paschetto, Anthony Paschetto, Jacob Paschetto, and Mia Paschetto; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Mercy Medical Center, for their compassion and kindness. Her funeral service will begin at 8:45AM on Saturday (Dec. 2, 2017) from the Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial, celebrated at 10:00AM in St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple Street, East Longmeadow. Susie will be laid to rest in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Road, Springfield. The family will receive friends and relatives in the funeral home from 4:00PM – 7:00PM on Friday (Dec. 1, 2017). For those who prefer, memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Rescue Mission, 10 Mill St., Springfield, MA 01108 or to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow.
